Snore Appliances

Obstructive Sleep Apnoea/Hypopnoea Syndrome (OSAHS) is the periodic reduction or cessation of airflow during sleep. The syndrome is associated with loud snoring, disrupted sleep and observed apnoeas. Surgery for Obstructive Sleep Apnoea/Hypopnoea Syndrome aims to alleviate symptoms of daytime sleepiness, improve quality of life, and reduce the signs of sleep apnoea recorded by polysomnography.

Oral appliances have been used for patients who have OSAS because they change the mandible posture forward and potentially enlarge the upper airway and increase the upper airspace, improving the respiratory function.

We offer the Tap Appliance, a custom appliance that is a simple, patient-friendly oral appliance. This noninvasive treatment of snoring and OSA is achieved by opening the bite and moving the lower jaw forward. We also offer the EMA® custom appliance as an alternative to the Tap appliance.
